Docx2EPUB converts your documents entirely inside your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. We don't use accounts, analytics or advertising cookies.
Your documents
When you open a .docx, .doc or PDF file, it is read and converted by code running on your device. The document, the eBook made from it and anything you type in the editor stay in your browser's memory, and are gone when you close or reload the page.
What is stored on your device
Only your light or dark theme choice, saved in your browser's local storage. Docx2EPUB sets no cookies.
Services the site uses
- Hosting: the site is served by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel receives standard request information (such as your IP address, browser and the page requested) to deliver the site, and may keep it in short-term logs. See Vercel's privacy policy.
- Fonts: typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's font servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. See Google's privacy policy.
Problem reports
If you choose to use "Report a problem", your report (your description, steps, any screenshots you attach, your browser version and the technical details shown in the form) is published as a public issue on GitHub, either through our report service on Cloudflare or through a GitHub page you submit yourself. Your documents are never included. Don't include personal information you don't want to be public.
Supporting the project
If you support the project through Ko-fi or by scanning a KHQR code, the payment is handled by that service or your bank under their own terms. We only receive what they share with us, such as your name.
Advertising
Docx2EPUB shows no advertising today. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this policy first.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. For privacy questions, please open an issue on GitHub.
